“"I got another one of those irritating scam calls. I blocked the number right away."”
“Just got a call from this number at 7:05 PM. The caller said her name was Grace and had a thick Indian accent. There was a lot of background noise that sounded like a call center. She mentioned she was from a company called Bill Saver and asked about my electricity bills. Grace also asked for my address details, down to the street name, state, and postcode. Strangely, she referred to me by a different person's name. When I questioned her about the call timing during dinner, she said she was located in Victoria. That's when things took a turn - Grace got really aggressive and rudely mentioned it wasn't dinner time for her, just her job. I hung up right after that.”
“I got another call from this number today. Just like before, they hung up without leaving a message. It seems really suspicious to me.”
“I got a recorded message pretending to be from Australian Immigration, telling me I had an important document, followed by words in an Asian language. It was definitely a scam call.”
“I got a call where the person started talking in English about my SIM card and asked me to press a number. Then all of a sudden, they switched to Chinese. It felt really suspicious and confusing with the sudden change in language and lack of clarity.”
“I got a call from a lady with a Taiwanese accent who said she was from Optus customer service but couldn't pronounce the company's name correctly. It made me worried since I don't even use Optus services.”
“I got a call and it was scammers posing as PayPal.”
“I got a call from this number, and someone claiming to be from China was on the line. It seemed like a scam, so I recommend not picking up if you see this number on your caller ID.”
“I got a scam call from someone claiming to be an immigration officer. They were asking for personal immigration information and even had my passport number. It felt really sketchy.”
“I got a text message from this number claiming to be from AusPost, saying they couldn't deliver my package because of an incorrect address. It included a suspicious link to click on to avoid the package being returned. I haven't shipped anything through AusPost or any other delivery service, so I know this is a scam trying to trick me into clicking on the link. I'm not falling for it. Don't trust these scammers.”
